§ A-2. City departments and officers.

Duties of the city departments, offices, agencies or boards identified and defined in the Charter shall remain the same unless specifically modified or amended herein. Notwithstanding the above, any reference to or use of the term "Board of Public Works," "Fire Board" or "Board of Parks and Recreation" in the Kingston City Charter shall be amended to delete said reference and term, and to replace the same reference and term with the word, "Mayor." Any reference to the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the "Board of Public Works," "Fire Board," or "Board of Parks and Recreation" in the City Charter shall be amended to be the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the Mayor.
